- With a solid FLiC Volunteer Staff, we will be able to keep the FLiC open the number of hours needed and we will be able to plan ministries that will impact our community for the Gospel. Volunteers keep FLiC Ministries focused on members not church staff and it guarantees a friendly face every time someone comes through the doors. All of us become ministers to those who use the FLiC. The work isn’t difficult, it doesn’t take a lot of preparation, volunteers meet lots of people and become a part of Faith in a hurry, and it’s fun. Best of all, volunteers are involved in ministry with the chance to make an eternal difference in someone’s life by being a first-touch, open-door to reaching folks in our community who do not know Christ.

Families: Please consider volunteering as a family. What a great way to serve the Lord together with your spouse and children!
Frequency: Faith members are asked to commit only 13 times during the course of one year. That’s just once per month with one exception: one month out of the year volunteers will be asked to work twice to help cover the fifth days of each month. You can always volunteer more, but we’re asking for only 13 times a year.
Duties: The FLiC Volunteer Staff will serve as host, set the tone for ministry, enforce policies and procedures, ensure participant safety and conduct, and continually monitor the FLiC for overall security and control. All FLiC Volunteers are required to participate in FLiC Volunteer Staff Training with Neely Carter, Director of Recreation Ministries.
Days: You pick the day or days you’d like to serve. For example, if you choose the third Tuesday, you’ll always work the third Tuesday of each month for the shift you choose.
Times: There are four shifts. None of them are very long and definitely not back breaking.
Shift 1 - 8:00-10:30
Shift 2 - 10:30-2:00
Shift 3 - 2:00-6:00 (On Wednesdays, the FLiC will close at 5 pm)
Shift 4 – 6:00-closing (Monday: 9 pm, Tuesday: 7 pm, Thursday: 9 pm, Friday: 9 pm)
NOTE: Monday nights and Friday nights (Monday nights only during the summer) are open Volleyball nights. So, if you like volleyball, find a friend and take Shift 4 on those nights.
Thursdays nights are open Basketball nights. If you are a basketball player, consider signing up for Shift 4 on Thursdays.
